Media & Resource Directory

Where to follow India's food industry: trade press, associations, regulators and research, compiled for food businesses that do not have time to read everything.

41 entries, 36 with a link confirmed live. Last compiled September 2026.

If you only follow five things

  1. All India Food Processors’ Association (AIFPA) - Start here. Membership is optional - the public notification feed alone is worth a weekly visit.
  2. FSSAI – Food Safety and Standards Authority of India - Every other source here is ultimately reporting on what FSSAI does. Going direct removes both the lag and the misinterpretation, which matters most for labelling and licensing deadlines.
  3. Food & Beverage News (FnB News) - Free, daily, and faster than government sites at turning policy into plain business language. Pick this or FoodTechBiz - whichever tone suits you.
  4. FoodTechBiz - Its segment-by-segment categorisation - dairy, bakery, packaging - suits a specialised processor better than a general news feed.
  5. MoFPI Investors’ Portal - Check here before assuming no subsidy or incentive scheme applies to you.

A sixth move is worth more than any publication: contact your own state's MSME or Industries department directly. Each state has a nodal agency administering PMFME locally, and that relationship beats searching for a state trade body that may have no public web presence.

Clear all

India-wide food and beverage trade publications, most of them English-language and free to read online.

Hindi-language trade coverage. Standalone Hindi mastheads are genuinely scarce: most Hindi content sits inside bilingual or trilingual magazine families, or arrives as government notices.

Regional-language food trade titles. Outside the Gujarati-origin cluster, this part of India's trade media is very thinly documented online.

Digital portals

7 entries

Digital-first and digital-only B2B platforms. Indian food trade media is small enough that print-origin and digital-only outlets overlap heavily.

Ministries, regulators, scheme portals and public research institutes. These are the primary sources every other outlet on this page reports on.

Paid research houses. Their headline figures circulate free through press coverage; the full reports are paywalled.

Free digests and official channels run by named, accountable organisations. Anonymous WhatsApp and Telegram groups are deliberately excluded.

How these entries were checked

Every link here was checked against a live fetch, and re-checked on 6 September 2026. "Verified" means the page loaded and matched its description. Anything we could not confirm is labelled and left unlinked rather than quietly published - the organisation is real, but its current official address is not confirmed.

  • Verified The link was loaded at compile time and its content matched this description.
  • Partly verified The organisation is confirmed through secondary sources, but this exact URL was not independently fetched. Check it before relying on it.
  • Unverified The publication or body is real, but no currently live official URL could be confirmed. Nothing here has been guessed.

What we could not find

These are real gaps, recorded rather than papered over.

  • Hindi-language trade press is still thin. The one live title carrying Hindi content is Food Ni Vaat, which is trilingual rather than Hindi-only. No standalone Hindi-only food trade site with national circulation could be confirmed.
  • No dedicated food trade publication could be confirmed in Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali or Malayalam. This probably reflects both a real market gap and small regional titles having little web presence.
  • The Gujarati-origin family - Khadhya Khurak, Khurak and Food In Toto - still has no website we could find, even though the Khadhya Khurak exhibition in Gandhinagar is plainly still running and has an edition listed for December 2026.
  • Beverage & Food World and the Ind Food & Beverage Association still have no confirmed official site. Both entries now carry the best third-party records we could find - an ISSN record, a journal directory entry and social accounts - clearly marked as leads rather than official sources.
  • State-level food processors' associations could not be verified for Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Odisha or Madhya Pradesh. Searches surfaced only general state chambers of commerce.
  • No currently active podcast series or public broadcast channel specific to Indian food processing MSMEs could be confirmed.
